The Autistic Learning and A Way With Words foundations will host the second annual Shine 4 A Cure, Kids Helping Kids Day and a 1k, Every Mile Matters Walk-a-Thon from noon to 6 p.m. April 27 at Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.
The event will feature vendors, a kite-flying contest, face painting, a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle.
Tommy Cole and the ROCcK Children’s choir will perform.
Artist Chris Yambar will sign autographs.
Walk-a-thon participants can register for free with a $10 minimum donation per person. Registrants who have raised at least $10 will receive a T-shirt and goodies bag.
Awards will be given.
The Autistic Learning Foundation supports children diagnosed with the Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families by offering support, necessary equipment and medical care.
A Way With Words Foundation benefits children battling cancer.
Both are 501(c-3) charities.
