Teen survives 8-story fall

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (AP) — Police say a 14-year-old girl fell eight stories from an apartment building in suburban Philadelphia and survived.

WPVI-TV reports it happened at the Marquis Apartments in Upper Merion around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say the girl was apparently climbing out the window and fell, landing in the roof of a parking garage below. She’s been taken to a hospital, but there’s no word on her condition.

Police say they are treating it as an accident.
