Ursuline 1, Cardinal Mooney 0

STRUTHERS

Sam Donko threw a four-hit shutout, striking out 10 and walking just one as the Irish improved to 5-0. Kane Durkin allowed just five hits and had eight strikeouts and no walks on the mound for Mooney (3-2). Ursuline scored the only run in the second when Ryan Strollo drove home Matt Lacko.

Boardman 8, Canton GlenOak 7

CANTON

The Spartans built a 7-1 lead and held on for a Federal League victory. Eddie Crump led Boardman (3-2, 2-1) with three hits, including a double, and two RBIs. John Diamond added two hits and Nico DiIanni and Phil DiIanni each had a double.

Canfield 5, Howland 4

CANFIELD

The Cardinals (2-4, 1-1 AAC American) rallied from 3-0 and 4-2 deficits to win late. Tom Ciccolelli hit a bases-loaded walk off single to score Nick Luchansky with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. It was Ciccolelli’s second hit (the other a double) and second RBI of the night. Colton Crissman pitched 4 2/3 innings to gain the win. Howland (5-1) suffered its first defeat.

Struthers 7, Beaver Local 5

LISBON

Down 1-0 through four innings, Struthers exploded for six runs in the sixth. Jon Mundrinich allowed six hits and two earned runs through five innings and Kolton Rudzik earned the save. Marcus Donnadio led the attack with two hits and two RBI for the Wildcats (5-3).

Liberty 3, Lakeview 1

CORTLAND

Bobby Stanovcak pitched a five-hitter with two strikeouts and one walk for Liberty (4-0, 2-0 AAC National), which scored three runs in the first inning. Michael Moamis had four hits and Luis Rivera and Nate Derenzis each had two hits. For Lakeview (1-4, 0-2), David LeMasters struck out 10 and Andrew Grover tripled.

Niles 12, Hubbard 2

NILES

Ryan Ifft had three hits, three runs and three RBIs and Tyler Wiery and Jake Foster each added three hits, two runs and an RBI for Niles. Wiery tossed a three hitter with four strikeouts and a walk.

South Range 12, United 2

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Ross Stoffer hit a grand slam while Billy Goodall hit two triples for the Raiders (5-1, 2-0 ITCL1). Dan Macinga and Tyler Rothbauer also tripled while Zach Thorpe and Robby Seman doubled.

Springfield 3, East Palestine 2

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Springfield (4-1, 4-0 ITCL Tier 1) won the game with a solo run in the bottom of the seventh. The Tigers led 2-0 early before the Bulldogs (1-3) battled back to tie the game. Justin Fristik struck out 11 for East Palestine.

Jackson-Milton 16, Lisbon 4

NORTH JACKSON

Nate Clark struck out 10 and walked none on the mound and hit a three-run home run and a single for the Bluejays (5-2). Nick Woloshack added a double, a single and three RBI for Jackson-Milton.

Lowellville 15, Wellsville 1

LOWELLVILLE

The Rockets (5-2, 4-0 ITCL Tier 2) scored seven in the second and seven in the third. Dante Basista led the attack with two hits and three runs batted in and Marcus Rivera yielded just two hits.

Western Reserve 11, Leetonia 7

LEETONIA

Parker Warren, Tristian Bova and Jacob Clark each had two hits and Jason Smith doubled in two runs as the Blue Devils (3-3, 3-1 ITCL Tier 2) overcame seven errors to beat the Bears (2-5, 0-4). Bova stole three hits and scored three runs.

McDonald 12, Southern Local 2

SALINEVILLE

Billy Wolfrom had three hits and three RBIs and Mike Raschilla singled, homered and drove in two runs for the Blue Devils (4-2, 3-1 ITCL Tier 2). Christian Rusinowski, Mike Schuller and Tommy Rebraca each had two hits for McDonald.

Salem 4, Marlington 2

ALLIANCE

Alex Weikart scattered six hits, struck out four and walked one for the Quakers (4-3, 1-2 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).

Mathews 8, PV 6

VIENNA

Bryan Leipply had two hits, including a double, and Andy Morgan and Matt Harries each added two hits for Mathews (2-2, 2-0 NAC), which also got two RBIs from Nate Homan.

Ledgemont 6, Bristol 1

BRISTOLVILLE

Griffin Degener struck out 12, tossing a two-hitter to get the win. Ryan Myers had two hits for Ledgemont (2-3, 1-1 NAC).
