High school juniors to attend Girls State

Three juniors from Jackson-Milton High School and three from Western Reserve High School will be among the 900 girls participating in the 67th annual session of Buckeye Girls State at University of Mount Union June 16 through 22.

The main objective of the Girls State program is to train young women, who have completed their junior year, in the duties, rights and privileges of citizenship by providing the attendee the opportunity to actively participate in a democratic form of government.

Local delegates to are: Hanna Bond, Kali Sebastian, Paige Ewing, and Gabriella Stubbs. American Legion Auxiliary Lake Milton Unit 737 are sponsoring the girls. The alternates are Tara Balsinger and Logan Moff.
