Volunteers need for crisis shelter work day

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

The Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, 1218 W. State St., is asking for volunteers for the Comcast Cares Work Day from 9 a.m. to noon April 27.

Volunteers will join Comcast employees to make a difference in the lives of men, women and children who are victims or survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.

Comcast will make a donation to the Crisis Shelter for every person who volunteers that day.

Individual, family or group volunteers will assist with light construction, painting, gardening, yard work, cleaning, or minor building repairs. Breakfast will be provided between 8:30 and 9 a.m. Register by April 24 by emailing info@crisisshelter.org or calling 724-856-4301.
