Guitarist to play
Brian Henke, an award-winning guitarist, will play at the 11 a.m. service Sunday at Unity Centre for Spiritual Living, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road. A two-hour concert will be at 1 p.m.
Henke was a finalist in the National Fingerstyle Contest, National Guitarmageddon Regionals and made the top 10 of the New Age Reporter in 2006 and 2010. In March, he opened for Phill Keaggy and Glass Harp in Kent.

Tacketts in concert
The Tacketts, a recording group, will present a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Bible Church, 2878 Warren Meadville Road.
Continuing a 33-year family tradition are Sarah, a former Miss Ohio and talent award winner in the Miss America Pageant; Jeff on piano, guitar, banjo and steel guitar; and Jason, vocalist. Their CD, “So Many Blessings,” blends progressive Southern and contemporary gospel music.

The celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday will take place at 3 p.m. this weekend at Holy Family Church, 2729 Center Road.
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be sung followed by benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and veneration of the Divine Mercy image.

The 2013 Christian Women’s Retreat will be April 19 and 20 at McKeever Environmental Learning Center, state Route 358.
Registration will be at 4:30 p.m. April 19, and the retreat concludes at 2 p.m. April 20. An overnight stay is optional. Guest speakers are Tia Ciferno and Christylee Roose, both from Ohio. The purpose of the retreat is to give women a time away from work, a time of communion with Jesus and a time of sharing with other women.
Registration with a $5 deposit is due by April 15. Costs for the session are April 19, $12 includes dinner; both days but no overnight, $25 includes meals; and overnight and all sessions, $30 and includes meals. Scholarships are available.

The 183rd annual worldwide General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be broadcast live today and Sunday from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The broadcast will be received from noon and 4 p.m. both days at the Warren Chapel, 1321 State Road, Champion, and Youngstown Chapel, 2205 Tibbits-Wick Road, Girard.
Speakers will include Thomas S. Monson, church president, and counselors in the First Presidency and members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir will present “Music and the Spoken Word” at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Bishop George V. Murry of the Diocese of Youngstown has appointed the Rev. Joseph Ruggieri as pastor of Regina Coeli Parish in Alliance and St. Joseph Parish in Maximo.
Father Ruggieri was ordained May 20, 1995, following seminary studies at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Cincinnati.
He served as associate pastor at St. Patrick Parish in Kent and St. Joan of Arc Parish in Canton.
Father Ruggieri also served as pastor at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and Mother of Sorrows Parish in Ashtabula before being appointed to his current assignment as pastor of St. John the Baptist, St. Joseph the Provider, St. Lucy and St. Rose of Lima in Campbell.
Those parishes merged as Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in April, 2012, under the diocesan parish reconfiguration plan.
Father Ruggieri also served on the diocesan Priest Personnel Board, the Vocations Director Advisory Board and the International Conference of Police Chaplains.
He is currently a member of the diocesan Cemetery Board.
