The Boardman High School football team and cheerleaders will be spending the day with crafters and patrons at the second annual Boardman Gridiron Arts and Crafts Show today at Boardman High School. The team asked to volunteer as a way of thanking the Gridiron Club for supporting the football and cheerleading programs.
With the assistance of new head coach Joe Ignazio, players will be on hand to help vendors set up their booths, as well as throughout the day to help patrons with parking and carrying goods to their vehicles. The team assisted in a similar way at last year’s event.
This year’s event will feature crafters and artisans from as far away as Cleveland and Akron. Close to 100 vendors plan to participate, with products ranging from handcrafted jewelry, fabric purses and hats, indoor and outdoor decorative items, as well as seasonal treats and baked goods.
The event will also feature a basket raffle, 50/50 drawings and concessions. Admission is free.
