Don't you think it's time to treat these violent teenagers like violent criminals? They are young enough to be rehabilitated and if we keep giving them little slaps on the wrist and hugs, they will keep on committing violent crimes.

Prison needs to go back to being prison. A place where "fun" is not in the vocabulary. Work crews, chain gangs. Maybe then these kids wouldn't be killing each other to get in there.

What about their parent?? There are no charges or even an investigation into it. There are laws on the books to do it but too lazy to enforce them!! Start charging a few of these parents for child endangerment or one of the many other charges and you will see a change once a few of the parent(s) spend some time in the clink!!! But we don't want to pick on them now. Just look at the horrific accident just a month ago have you seen the tox reports, parents charged, anything??? NO Instead of deterring these instances we promote them by doing nothing.

So you think jailing parents improves their offsprings behaviour & provides a deterrent?
Its fascinating you use the Warren accident to support your theory .Both the parents of the driver of that vehicle were in prison at the time. What was the "change" their jailing enabled ?

legal guardian is next, Do you think it would hurt?? What do they learn about parenting or parental supervision by doing nothing. Unknown to you evidently back when parents were held responsible (by the way laws still on the books) and punished for not managing their kids they did actually recieve punishment and called to school if absent and if persisitent absenteeism parents were charged maybe fined.. Remember truant officers! It really did work!! Look at our sad situatiion were in now because of babies having babies, unpunished child endangerment not knowing where your kid is and on and on. So your therory has brought us to where we are now. No proper parental supervision means statistically these kids are more apt to commit crime and be a burden on our economy. Sad but true. PROPER PARENTAL SUPERVISION DOES MATTER!!! Geeeeeezzzzzz
