Mach jailed in break-in at women's house

Published: Thu, April 4, 2013 @ 2:27 a.m.

WARREN

Robert Mach, 26, of Logan Avenue is being held in the Trumbull County jail without eligibility to make bond after being charged with burglary in an early Wednesday break-in on Woodbine Avenue Southeast.

The court entered an innocent plea for Mach to the charge Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court.

Police said a 28-year-old Woodbine resident and her 57-year-old mother were asleep in their home at 3:15 a.m. when they heard banging and screaming outside.

Both women went downstairs while talking to police on the phone and then saw Mach standing inside the house.

Both women ran upstairs to the bathroom, and Mach chased after them, but the women locked him out.

When police arrived, they saw Mach running through a front yard nearby and arrested him.

Police later found the side door to the home had been broken into.
