Tattoo parlor to ink for autism awareness
Heath and Brandi Dillon of Fallen Angels Tattoos, 7196 Warren-Sharon Road, will ink customers with puzzle pieces for autism awareness from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday as a fundraiser for the Rich Center for Autism at Youngstown State University.
The event also will include face painting, refreshments and entertainment.
Participants are asked to express interest by calling Fallen Angels at 724-301-4321, so that supplies and equipment can be prepared.
The puzzle piece design was first used 50 years ago and has become a symbol for the struggle against autism, particularly during April, Autism Awareness Month.
The Rich Center for Autism was founded in 1995 to provide therapies, education and support to area children and their families.
About 68 children attend the Rich Center year-round.
