Shooting victim recovering and suspect in custody

YOUNGSTOWN

A 20-year-old man is expected to fully recover after being shot while riding in a car on the city’s South Side, and his alleged shooter is in police custody.

According to police, the ShotSpotter program used to indicate gunfire in the city picked up a gunshot in the area of Judson near Market just before police received a call about a man shot in the back in the same area. The shot hit the 20-year-old victim in the back.

The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was treated for a graze wound to the back.

Police took a 21-year-old man into custody for the shooting, which appears to have been over an argument with the alleged shooter’s girlfriend, but formal charges have not been filed.

ZZ3 The dems can't keep a voter in jail, that wouldn't be right! After all the primary election next month. He just might vote in their candidate for mayor
