Releases on DVD and Blu-ray this week include:

v “The Bible: The Epic Miniseries” (Fox, $59.98 DVD, $69.98 Blu-ray): It offers a three-part making-of chronicle, examinations of the music, casting and visual effects, and “Believing in Miracles. The 10-episode, five-night History Channel series was produced by reality-TV mogul Mark Burnett and his wife, actress Roma Downey (“Touched by an Angel”).

v “Hemingway & Gellhorn” (HBO, $19.97 DVD, $24.99 Blu-ray/DVD combo): This dramatizes the stormy relationship between writers Ernest Hemingway (played by Clive Owen) and Martha Gellhorn (Nicole Kidman).

v “Dirk Gently” (Acorn, the pilot plus three episodes, $39.99 DVD): Fans of the writer Douglas Adams (“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”) may want to note the arrival of a 2010-12 BBC presentation based on Adams’ novels about the holistic detective.

v “GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling” (Docurama, $29.95 DVD): A documentary focuses on the tacky extravaganza that became a TV phenomenon for a moment in the late ’80s.

v Coming soon: “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” will be on Blu-ray, DVD and 3-D Blu-ray on June 11. “Warm Bodies” will be on DVD and Blu-ray on June 4; and action classic “The Great Escape” on Blu-ray May 7.

“SPIES OF WAR” (9 p.m., BBC AMERICA): David Tennant (“Doctor Who”) heads the cast in “Spies of Warsaw.” It’s a thrilling two-part spy drama that finds French and German intelligence operatives locked in a life-and-death struggle during the pre-WWII years.

“ROGUE” (9 p.m., DirecTV Audience Network): Thandie Newton (“Crash”) shifts into butt-kicking mode on “Rogue.” It’s a new crime thriller about an undercover detective who gets drawn into a dangerous relationship with an Oakland mob boss.

“MODERN FAMILY” (8 p.m., ABC): Phil and Claire run into their family’s doppelgdngers.

“How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life” (8:30 P.M., ABC): Sarah Chalke (“Scrubs”) portrays a single mom who returns home to live with hippy-dippy parents Brad Garrett and Elizabeth Perkins in this conventional, disappointing new sitcom.
