NKorea warns military cleared to wage nuke attack

PYONGYANG, North Korea (AP) - Ratcheting up the rhetoric, North Korea warned today that its military has been cleared to wage an attack on the U.S. using “smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear” weapons. The Pentagon, meanwhile, said Wednesday that it will deploy a missile defense system to the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam to strengthen the region’s protections against a possible attack.

I doubt seriously they have any deliverable nuclear weapons. Early fission devices are large and heavy, also their last test fizzled. It only reached about 3 kilotons so obviously something went wrong. Also with the method they are using to make enriched uranium it takes a long time to get the 2lbs needed for even one device.

Secondly they don't really have anything to deliver it with just some medium range stuff that could hit our bases in that area, but even Hawaii would be out of range.
