St. Joseph the Provider School will sponsor its annual basket auction and buffet dinner Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel. The dinner consists of pasta and meatballs, chicken, sausage and peppers, salad, vegetable, potato, soft drinks, coffee and tea. There will be a cash bar, prizes and gift baskets. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and buffet begins at 7:30. Drawing will be at 9. Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will sponsor its annual basket auction Saturday at Christ Our Savior St. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and drawings begin at 3:30. Admission is $5 and includes a full sheet of raffle tickets and a door-prize entry. There will be free refreshments and cash door prizes. There also will be a 50-50 raffle and a cash hat raffle. Girard Eagles 2172 Ladies Auxiliary will have a spring card and bingo party at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Eagles Hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave. Doors will open at noon, and a light lunch will be served until 1:30 p.m.
St. Jude Parish, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, will feature a super bingo Sunday. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for lunch. Games begin at 2 p.m. A donation of $25 will get free daubers, coffee and pop all day, cards for games and a chance to win $3,400 in cash prizes. Specials will be sold separately. There will be a lunch counter and bake sale.
St. Paul Altar Guild will have its annual Spring Fling at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul the Apostle Church Hall, 10143 Main St., New Middletown. Admission is $5. There will be bingo, cards, door prizes, raffles and refreshments.
Newcomers Club of Canfield is conducting a charity raffle. Tickets are $20 each or three for $50. The grand prize is a one-week Starwood vacation stay (airfare not included, some conditions apply), donated by Betty and John Schuld. There are four other prizes. Over 800 items will be available for purchase at the Shop Till You Drop sale benefitting the Mahoning County DD Special Olympics. The event also will include 100 gift baskets and a gift-card raffle valued at $500 of gift cards to local restaurants, bakeries, retail stores, golf items, salons and more. Girard Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a bus trip to the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Sunday. The bus will leave at 9 a.m. from Girard City Building, 100 W.
