Two Canfield High girls charged in March 7 bomb threat

CANFIELD

Two female high school students are charged with making false alarms and obstructing official business in connection with the bomb threat that closed Canfield High School on March 7.

The names of the 15 and 16-year-old juveniles have not been released, but their cases have been referred to the Mahoning County Juvenile Court, according to the Canfield Police Department.

The school was closed and searched by police after a handwritten note was found in the gymnasium of the school at about 10:30 a.m. on March 7.

An 11-year-old girl was charged two weeks ago with making false alarms after a bomb threat was found at Canfield Middle School, and caused the evacuation of the school.
