Obama widens lead to 9 points over Romney, new Ohio poll shows

COLUMBUS, Ohio
A new poll shows President Barack Obama with a nine-point lead over Mitt Romney in swing state Ohio.
The mail poll published today by The (Columbus) Dispatch shows Democrat Obama leading Republican Romney 51 percent to 42 percent.
The poll shows the president ahead among independent voters by three points and attracting slightly more GOP support than Romney is getting from Democrats.
The first Dispatch poll had the two even at 45 percent just before the Republican National Convention in late August.
Experts say as many as 40 percent of Ohio’s voters will cast ballots before Nov. 6. Early voting begins at county boards of elections Tuesday.

Obama will win the presidency by I land slide! could be the biggest victory in history of the United States!
hunter you are right must have been the new ad with the ignorant woman from Cleveland advertising the free Obamafone! LOL!
Look at the raw data from the poll. 52 percent of the respondents voted for Obama while 40 percent voted for McCain in the 08 election. In essence, they did a terrible job oversampling Democrats. So Romney has cut into that margin by 3%. Ohio is a much closer race than these polls indicate, as shown by Republicans requesting absentee ballots at a higher rate than 08, while Dems are down 40%.
Yep, I'm posting this on my free ObamaPhone while enjoying a BLT.
I VOTE 4 OBAMA CUZ HE GIVES ME FREE PHONEZ!!!111!
Ohh.. you guys mean the free phone program started under Reagan?
Gets confusing you calling it an "obama phone" when he didn't start the program.
Like Fast & Furious, a free gun program with complete disregard as to who ends up with them. Now if that isn't neo-con, chest beating, republican right-wing NRA loving policy, then I don't know what is. I guess that is why it was started under Bush.
GREAT NEWS!!
