NEW YORK
Former President Bill Clinton on Sunday challenged Wal-Mart to open a store in Libya and help create jobs in the world’s most troubled areas.
“If the new president of Libya asked you to open a store in Tripoli, would you consider it?” Clinton asked Wal-Mart CEO Mike Duke at the opening session of the Clinton Global Initiative.
The annual forum brings together leaders in politics, business and philanthropy for three days of brainstorming about the most pressing global problems.

Walmart would end up just like our embassy and other diplomatic missions. Let's get out of there and protect our own borders. Giving these countries more of our Chinese money is making us a laughing stock around the world. Give Israel what they need to take care of business and get us the heck out of there.
What's wrong with Dollar General? Why doesn't Libia bailout Libia?
Bill's just schmoozin' for a job as greeter.
Who wants a bunch of garbage jobs at Wal-Mart? Wal-Mart is one of the reasons we are in this economic mess. The only way Wal-Mart is intrested in Libya is if they'll make stuff cheaper than the Chinese. The worst part is Americans think that place is great even as it destroys us.
I wonder how many Walmarket stores there are in China?
There are over 350 Wal Mart stores in China.
