Place orders on the north side of the church, and pick them up on the south side of the church. VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12; carryouts are $6.25. The menu includes meatballs, salad, Italian bread, and coffee or tea.


Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Lordstown Christian Church is sponsoring its 31st annual chicken dinner at Lordstown High School from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The menu consists of chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, salad, homemade pies and cakes, and beverage. Carryouts are available.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. St. Anthony Church is planning its fall spaghetti dinner Oct. 21. A basket auction will promote area businesses and officeholders. Golden patrons who donate $100 or more will have their names displayed on a large sign. Others may donate $100 to receive 10 tickets and be recognized on the place mats.
