After-school programs for kids K-16 at McGuffey Centre

YOUNGSTOWN

Associated Neighborhood Centers is accepting students for two after-school programs at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road.

The Teen World of Work program for youth 13 to 16 begins Monday. The program is designed to increase employability through job and life skills training sessions.

Teens will meet with various professionals and review courses of study needed to pursue careers in trades, law, child care, bookkeeping, teaching, and health and beauty fields. Stipends are available upon program completion.

A “Kid’s College” program for children from kindergarten to 12 years old begins Oct. 1. The computerized math and reading enrichment program will feature lessons on nutrition and fitness, golf, and arts and crafts. The program is licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
