Munnell festival next Sunday in Mercer

MERCER, Pa.

The Munnell Run Farm Foundation and Mercer County Conservation District are hosting their eighth annual Munnell Run Farm Day Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Sunday at 753 Greenville Road. The event will take place rain or shine.

The festival will offer a variety of food, including items from the Mercer County Historical Society’s Rural Life Museum’s Ox Roast.

The Farm Day will feature local artisan products and demonstrations, a farmer’s market, quilt show, and music by Mandolin Whiskey. For families, kid-friendly characters will be on hand to meet young guests, and face painting, kiddie tractor pull, family nature walks and wagon rides will be offered.

The Western Pennsylvania Civil War Re-enactor’s Society 10th Pa. Veteran Reserve Company G will perform a Civil War demonstration, and the French Creek Living History Association will present a French and Indian Revolutionary War encampment.

Admission is a suggested donation of $1 for adults. Nonperishable food items to benefit the Mercer County Community Food Warehouse will be collected at the entrance.
