HUBBARD — A part-time township police officer was arraigned today in Girard Municipal Court on domestic-violence charges.
Justin J. Rydarowicz, 24, of Hubbard, posted a $7,500 bond before he was released from the Hubbard jail.
City police said Rydarowicz assaulted his live-in girlfriend shortly before midnight Sunday in the 300 block of Moore Street. According to reports, police received a call at 11:49 p.m. in reference to a woman being assaulted. When police arrived, they found Rydarowicz intoxicated in a nearby yard.
Police said the victim had a swollen eye that was treated by paramedics, but she refused further treatment at a hospital.
Township Police Chief Todd D. Coonce said Rydarowicz was placed on immediate suspension pending further investigation.
He said the township trustees will decide whether to terminate the officer. Coonce said Rydarowicz had served as a part-time officer for almost three years with no other previous issues.

What is going on with our local police force lately????
When are police officers going to be forced to stop hitting people?
He should be terminated.
Good for Hubbard PD! I get tired of hearing that police "take care of their own people."
The soon-to-be-ex-officer got drunk, beat up his girlfriend, and went to jail. Thats the way it should be!
With the exeception of the cop aspect, this sounds like a typical Hubbard friday night! lol
the hubbard police have attitudes
Police officers think they are above the law and behave as such. Not surprised as our country is becoming more of an eastern europe police state, more of these stories are going to come about.
