Candidate: Capri S. Cafaro*

Age: Not provided.

Hometown: 644 Warner Road, Liberty.

Employment: Ohio senator.

Education: Master’s degree from Georgetown University and bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.

Family: Single.

Priority: Enhancing economic development and job creation by extending Job Creation/ Expansion Tax Credit eligibility to benefit smaller businesses, continuing regulatory reform efforts to make the climate more conducive for small businesses and supporting workforce development programs related to the oil and gas industry.

Candidate: Nancy McArthur

Age: 55.

Hometown: 117 Cedar Glen Chardon.

Employment: Chardon City Council member.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University.

Family: Husband, Michael, two children.

Priority: Reduce regulations that harm jobs, businesses, and local communities; reduce taxes for residents, workers, and businesses; increase educational opportunities for new and re-entry employees so residents and families can stay in northeast Ohio.

OHIO HOUSE, 64TH DISTRICT

Candidate: Tom Letson*

Age: 60.

Hometown: 4061 Tod Ave. NW, Warren.

Employment: State representative.

Education: Law degree from the University of Akron, bachelor’s degree from Kent State University.

Family: Wife, Debra, one daughter.

Priority: Same as they have been — education, health, employment. We are making progress but we need to keep going.

Candidate: Randy Law

Age: 51.

Hometown: 146 Clemmens Ave., Warren.

Employment: Business broker.

Education: Warren Western Reserve High School graduate.

Family: Single.

Priority: To see that Trumbull is “treated like every other county in Ohio” regarding septic systems. Law says the consent decree the county signed with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency several years ago regarding septic systems and sewer lines should be rescinded because it is “not needed and puts us under a lot more hardship than in other counties.”

ohio HOUSE, 63RD DISTRICT

Candidate: Sean O’Brien*

Age: 44.

Hometown: 7307 Stewart-Sharon Road, Brookfield.

Employment: State representative.

Education: Law degree from University of Akron, bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University.

Family: Wife, Maria, two children.

Priority: Jobs and the economy, exploration of oil and gas, infrastructure development, working against privatization of the Ohio Turnpike.
