Casey Anthony asks for change of venue

ORLANDO, Fla.

Attorneys for Casey Anthony, a Warren native, are asking for a venue change in her coming defamation trial.

Her attorneys filed paperwork this week seeking to have the trial moved out of Orange County. The Orlando Sentinel reports that attorneys argued that Anthony can never get an impartial jury due to pretrial publicity.

Anthony was acquitted last year in the death of her 2- year-old daughter, Caylee. Her attorneys argue “the local media refuses to move on” and that the public feels as though “justice was not served” in the criminal case.

After Caylee disappeared in the summer of 2008, Anthony told investigators that a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez had kidnapped the toddler. Gonzalez later sued Anthony, claiming her reputation had been ruined.

GOP: Obama camp gave pizza for votes

COLUMBUS

Republicans in battleground Ohio allege that Obama for America and state Democrats distributed free pizza at campus rallies as a way to entice students to vote for the president.

The Ohio Republican Party filed an election complaint Thursday in Franklin County alleging the “Buckeyes for Obama” student organization at Ohio State University violated a law that prohibits offering something of value for a person’s vote.

The party attached an affidavit to the complaint quoting an anonymous student staffer of the Obama campaign who said the campaign has an “unlimited” tab with pizza chain Donatos for six rallies where students could catch buses to an early-voting center.

The Ohio Democratic Party said the challenge showed confused priorities, when the GOP fought to limit early-voting days in court.

....... My gut always told me that George Anthony, the ex-cop, was behind making a mess of his whole family and causing the the death to go unreported. In my considered theory he tried to cover up it all up in the sacred Valley tradition of 'protecting the family name'. You all know exactly what I'm talking about.

It's over and done with. Quit letting the media brainwash you. Case Anthony got away with murder. Pure and simple.

... You're pure and simple, Lifes2Short. Show me a quote from my comment that causes you to believe the media has me brainwashed? I will bet cash that you have no logical response to my challenge, if you have any response at all.
