Cornell Lab of Ornithology program for homeschoolers at Jennings

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.

The Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, will host a “citizen science investigation” for homeschooling families from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 31.

This event is meant for students age 5 and older. It will be an introduction to the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology’s BirdSleuth Science Investigator Kit for Homeschoolers and Project FeederWatch.

Project FeederWatch will offer a comprehensive, inquiry-based curriculum related to birds.

Cost of the program is $3 per person, but the maximum to be spent on a family will be $12. Enrollment is limited. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required by Oct. 24 by phone at 724-794-6011 or online at http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/calendar/list.asp
