‘Apprentice’ returns with 14 all-stars

NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” is bringing back 13 players fired from past “Apprentice” contests, plus one notable winner, in the first “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.”

“We wouldn’t have done the ‘All-Star’ concept unless we were able to get the right contestants back,” said Donald Trump, the host and boardroom boss who once again will be pronouncing each contestant’s fate.

The series, which starts shooting this new season Monday for a March 2013 premiere, announced its slate of 14 contenders Friday morning.

They include: Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Penn Jillette, Lil Jon, Dennis Rodman, Dee Snider, Marilu Henner, La Toya Jackson, Claudia Jordan, Youngstown native Omarosa Manigault, Lisa Rinna, Brande Roderick and Bret Michaels.

Police investigate Octomom allegations

Police on Friday said they investigated allegations of child neglect at the former home of Nadya Suleman, who has been in the media spotlight since giving birth to octuplets after she already had six children

A caregiver reported the claims last month, La Habra police said in a statement.

Authorities and social services previously investigated some of the allegations, police said.

Suleman lived in the home in Orange County with the octuplets and her six other children.

La Habra police would not release other details and said they have turned over their findings to the Orange County District Attorney’s office and Orange County’s Social Services Agency.
