Thrill the World dance at the Morley
The local effort of the Thrill the World “Thriller” dance will be 3 p.m. Oct. 27 at Morley Pavilion at Wick Recreation Area in Mill Creek Park. New dancers are no longer being accepted.
Thrill the World is the annual worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video. The events are videotaped for submission to the Guinness Book of World Records.
The “Thriller” dance will also be done at approximately 7 p.m. that night on Central Square in downtown Youngstown, as part of the Zombie Crawl festivities.
Actors are sought for gospel plays
Shekiniah Glory Drama Outreach Ministry will have an open casting call at 6 p.m. tonight and Oct. 19 and 26 at 3314 South Ave. for several gospel stage plays. Actors from age 16 to 65 of all races are needed.

Author to address writers meeting
Area writers are invited to attend the next Monday Night Writers session from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Peaberry’s Cafe, 4350 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Led by author and professional writer Nancy Christie, the two-hour session will include writing exercises and discussions on the creative and business aspects of writing. Those with works-in-progress can bring copies for comments and critiques from the group. Fee is $10.

Cleveland writer Mary Mihaly, author of “The 250 Questions Every Self-Employed Person Should Ask,” will discuss starting a writing business. She will have a book signing from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
