Man arrested in Youngstown in connection with NYC murder
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, Youngstown division, has arrested a 23-year-old man wanted for homicide in New York City.
Alexander Scott, 23, of New York, was taken into custody Thursday.
Investigators in Youngstown learned that Scott had fled to the area and was living in a house on the South Side. Investigators set up surveillance on the house and saw Scott leave the residence driving a car Thursday.
Scott was arrested without incident during a traffic stop. New York City detectives believe Scott gunned down a 22-year-old man during an argument Aug. 4. They are in town to interview Scott and take him back to New York.
