NILES (AP) — Police say a 2-year-old boy who was in a car when it was apparently stolen has been found safe in northeast Ohio, and a suspect is in custody.
An alert was issued late Thursday night after the pajama-clad boy went missing in Niles, about 55 miles southeast of Cleveland. The toddler was found early this morning.
Police spotted and stopped the stolen vehicle in nearby Lordstown. The boy was unharmed.
The unidentified theft suspect was taken to Trumbull County jail. There was no immediate word on any charges.

He left him sleeping in the back seat!! he best be charged with child endangerment. What was so friggin important that he had to go into someones house late at night and not take the baby too? Drugs was my first thought.
Left in the car? Car stolen? From the morning news pictures of where this toddler was living, I would say that this little one planned the perfect get a way. There will be more to this story coming out as details are investigated. I am just glad that the toddler was unharmed.
