nORTH Beaver, pa.
LS Power of St. Louis presented plans to build a $750 million electricity- generating power plant fueled by natural gas.
The plant would be built along a stretch of the Mahoning River, site of the former American Cyanamid property off Route 551.
The facility would use shale gas from deposits in both Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to media reports.
Officials with the com- pany offered an early estimate for about 500 construction jobs that will last about two years while the facility is built and 25 full-time plant jobs.
