LOUIE TODAY: Strickland, Blakeman on VP debate; 2 authors

Former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland returns to Brainfood From the Heartland to preview tonight's vice presidential debate with Louie, Vindy.com's news radio partner, from the Democrats' perspective.

And for the Republican view, Atty. Brad Blakeman, a former member of George W. Bush'senior staff and frequent contributor to Fox News, returns.

The debate, the second of the presidential season, pits Vice President Joe Biden against vice presidential-hopeful Paul Ryan, in Danville, Ky.

Then author A.G.S. Johns will talk about her debut novel, "The Sausage Maker's Daughter." Johnson serves on the Board of the Council of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles, and is a founding board member of The World is Just a Book Away.

Proceeds from her book benefits this charity, which builds libraries in developing countries.

Also, author Guy Harrison, who wrote "50 Popular Beliefs That People Think are True" will offer a sampling of popular beliefs that Harrison believes are false.

The book covers such topics as ESP, ghosts, gods, psychics, astrology, UFOs, doomsday prophecies, Roswell, faith healing, Bigfoot, homeopathic medicine, and many more.
