LEAVITTSBURG — LaBrae High School was on lock down for 90 minutes today after three young men walked into the school who were not students there and were noticed by a teacher.
The three entered about 7:30 a.m. before school started but at a time when students arrive for the day, said A.J. Calderone, LaBrae superintendent.
The teacher saw them near the cafeteria where students were having breakfast, notified an administrator, and the two approached the three males, Calderone said.
At that point, the three fled out of the building and were quickly arrested by Warren Township police, who school officials had notified of the situation.
The building was placed on lock down as police conducted a search for anything the young men may have brought inside, Calderone said, adding that one of the three had a backpack with him.
No weapons were found during the search, and no students were harmed, Calderone added.
