Driver crashes into nearly 2 dozen cars

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Investigators say a driver who may have suffered some sort of medical episode lost control and crashed into nearly two dozen parked cars on a residential street in Philadelphia.

The accident happened late Wednesday night in the city’s Fairmount section.

Witnesses say they heard a series of loud crashes and came out to find nearly two dozen cars had been smashed as the car lost control. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in the middle of the street and WCAU-TV reports the driver was found passed out.

The driver is now in stable condition and authorities are investigating whether a medical condition may have led to the crash.
