Canfield’s Alison Pavlansky, the No. 2 seed from the Canton sectional, is the lone area representative in singles. She will face Andrea Krebs of Kent Roosevelt in the first round. Krebs was the No. 3 seed out of the Solon sectional.The top six finishers advance to state. Last year, Pavlansky made it to state on a doubles team with Gabrielle Brant.
Paige Zwicker and Stephanie Carrocce are in districts for the Cardinals, this year. The tandem is the No. 3 seed from the Canton sectional. They face Lindsey Golick and Melissa Djohan from Westlake, the No. 2 team from the Oberlin sectional.

Three Cardinal Mooney players made it to the district tournament: Gianna Reider, Hallie Yerin and Kacy Haggerty. Reider plays Bella Sirpilla of Canton Central Catholic, Yerin faces Notre Dame Cathedral Latin’s Mary Lenk and Haggerty squares off against Neya Sterling of St. Thomas Aquinas in the first round. Warren JFK’s Lauren Lee plays Ariana Iranpour of Hathaway Brown.
Mooney’s doubles team of Dominique Cicchi/Jamie DiDomenico earned a first round bye. Poland’s Elise Eckman/Cara Palusak faces Rockey River’s Lucy Grierson/Alex Riegelsberger and Megan Guiliano/Maria Stroup of JFK plays NDCL’s Andreja Didovic/Mary Joyce.
