Matthew Slaven, Anthony Sabula, Scott Marucci and Steve Bissell all scored twice for the Bulldogs who held a 17-5 advantage in shots on goal. Jacob Roemer was credited with three assists, Slaven had two and Mike Kinkela and Marucci had one each. Bryan Montgomery made four saves and Troy Bole one in goal for Poland.

Ursuline 2, Ashtabula Edgewood 1


Mike Lasko had two goals for Ursuline. Both were assisted by Zack Freer. Trey Roller made eight saves for the Irish. Adam Heffner scored a second half goal for Edgewood.

Heartland Christian 3, Lordstown 2


Sam Flynn scored two goals and handed out an assist to lead Heartland (6-7-2). Durand Winnale added a goal and an assists, Rachel Leach contributed an assist and Drew Fountain made 16 saves in goal. Lordstown got goals from Jacob Jones on a direct kick and Dustin Hajnosz on an assist from Jireyes Rafadi. Chris Wiffield had 12 saves for the Red Devils.

South Range 3, Columbiana


Brooks Thomas had two goalsand Andrew O’Leary added one for the Raiders. Cole Frank and Landon Baer made assists. The Clippers goal was scored by Rick Deschel.


Hubbard 8, Girard 0


Sarah Wise had two goals for Hubbard (8-5-2). Ali Zubick, Christian Bennett, Karina Hayek, Dana Takash, Kayla Zocolle and Mindy Gigax also scored. Gigax, Zocolle, Zubick, Rachel Rubinic, Renee Rubinic, Mykayla Scott Christina Leckfor, Brianna Grande had assists. For Girard, Jen Malvasi made 24 saves.

Cardinal Mooney 8, Canton Central Catholic 1


Cardinal Mooney was led by Lindsey Parkins with four goals and Julie Vazquez with three. Lexy Herman assisted on four of the goals while Jamie Willett scored once and Talia Tobin and Isabel Stoeber each had an assist. Rita Rehak and Samantha Ellis each had four saves for Mooney.

Poland (10-5) was led by Marissa Trevis with four goals. Dani Rutana scored three goals and Rachael Robertson and Carolyn Balzano each added another. Anna Barnhart and Dani Rutana both had two assists. Trevis, Claire Testa, Sumer Kassim and Libby Rubesa each had one. Lakeside goalkeeper Kristen Keasling made 19 saves.

West Branch 2, Boardman 1


Haley Davis and Melinda Trimmer each scored a goal for West Branch (6-6-3). Trimmer added an assist on Davis’ goal. Goalkeepers Lauren Martis and Kristen Huck both made five saves for their teams. JVs: Boardman 3-0.

South Range 2, Columbiana 1


Rachel Coler scored both goals for the Raiders. Lauren Baer made an assist while goalkeeper Annie Oliver made two saves. Clippers goalkeeper Tori Drago made 20 saves.

Lakeview 2, LaBrae 0


Allison Pavlik scored both goals for the Bulldogs (11-2-2). Goalkeeper Elaine Moldovan made five saves. For the Vikings (8-4-1), Hannah Crites made 10 saves. JVs: Lakeview, 3-1.

Badger 6, Lordstown 1


Five different players scored for Badger (10-1-2, 6-1-1 Northeastern Athletic Conference) led by Haley Wilson who scored twice. Angeleque Armstrong, Jennilyn Krume, Harlee Logan and Holly Masters also scored goals. Masters added two assists and Krumpe, Samantha Verrill and Samantha Pemberton also recorded assists. Sydney Negro scored Lordstown’s goal and made 12 saves in goal. Allyson Hajnosz also had seven saves for Lordstown and Izabella Armstrong made five saves for Badger.

Bristol 2, Warren JFK 1


For Warren JFK, Natalie Hoso scored on an assist from Mora Lucero. Goalkeeper Calli Kowach made seven saves.
