Kiwanis will host fundraiser at KSU
Warren Kiwanis Club will host its 34th Annual Turkey Trot, 5-mile run and 2-mile fun walk/run, on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 22, at Kent State University Trumbull Campus, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW. This is the club’s largest fundraising activity and is one of the largest events in the tri-county area.
Last year more than 2,400 runners raised $15,000 for Kiwanis charitable donations.
The 2-mile fun walk/run will begin at 9 a.m. and the five-mile race at 10. Both start and finish at the KSU Trumbull Campus. A shuttle service from the plaza across the street will be available to and from the race location.
Awards will be presented in the Administration Building (Lecture Hall A) following the races.
Registration fee is $16 per person. Previous participants can obtain a registration form online at www.gopherarun.com. The fee includes a long-sleeved shirt if paid entry is received by Nov. 15. Race day registrations are an additional $4.

The Warren Kiwanis Club meets at noon Thursdays at the Buena Vista Caf in Warren. Visitors are welcome.
