“Competing in the Global Market: Opportunities for Regional Businesses” is the title of the latest presentation of the Youngstown State University Alumni Lecture Series.
The lecture will be at 6 p.m. Thursday in YSU’s Williamson College of Business Administration Conference Center in Williamson Hall. A panel discussion will be led by Bruce Keillor, associate professor of marketing.
The presentation will focus on the unique position that businesses in Northeast Ohio are in to profit from globalization. The discussion will provide ideas and direction targeted at maximizing global opportunities.

Calif. gas prices
California motorists faced another day of record- breaking gasoline prices Sunday.
In its update early Sunday, AAA reported that the statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $4.655. Saturday’s average of $4.6140 was the highest since June 19, 2008, when it was $4.6096.
