Mount Union (4-0, 3-0 OAC) at Wilmington (0-4, 0-3 OAC)

When & where: 1:30 p.m., Wilmington.

Radio: WDPN 1310 AM (Alliance); WRMU 91.1 FM (Alliance)

The game: No. 1-ranked Mount Union travels to Wilmington.

Last week, the Purple Raiders returned a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown, gained nearly 500 yards of offense and the defense posted its third straight shutout in a 54-0 victory over Ohio Northern.

Mount Union senior Blair Skilliter ran for two TD’s and returned the second-half kickoff 95 yards for a TD. T.J. Lattimore (Maple Heights) also ran for two scores and had a game-high 79 yards on 13 carries. Senior Chris Denton (Plantation, Fla.) had five catches for 71 yards and had his third punt return for a TD this season as he took one back 60 yards. The defense held ONU to just 41 yards in the first half and 147 for the game including just 24 yards rushing. Senior LB Jack LaForce (Vermillion) had a career-high nine tackles to pace the unit. Wilmington was held to minus-38 yards rushing and 74 total yards in a 45-0 loss at Muskingum. It was the Quakers’ 30th consecutive loss dating back to 2009.

Lake Erie College (0-5, 0-4 GLIAC) at Notre Dame College (1-4, 0-4 GLIAC)

When & Where: 7 p.m., Lyndhurst.

Notable: Lake Erie is on the road for the second straight week and the fourth time in the season’s first six weeks as it goes for its first win of the season. This will be the first meeting of NCAA Div. II teams ever in Northeastern Ohio and the first football matchup between the two schools, separated by less than 24 miles. Lake Erie started football as a club team in 2008 and had its first varsity season in 2009. Notre Dame followed with a developmental season in 2009 and went varsity in 2010.

Baldwin-Wallace (3-1, 2-1 OAC) at Ohio Northern (1-3, 1-2 OAC)

When & where: 1:30 p.m., Ada.

Radio: B-W campus station WBWC, 88.3 FM.

The game: The Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jacket football team will look to get back on the winning track when it travels to Ada, Ohio to play Ohio Athletic Conference rival Ohio Northern University.

The Yellow Jackets suffered a 38-17 loss at home to Otterbein last Saturday. BW is ranked No. 24 in this week’s AFCA (Amercan Football Coaches Association) poll. The loss to Otterbein also broke a four-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Last week, Ohio Northern lost to Mount Union, 54-0. ONU has been outscored 127-48 in its first four contests.

The Yellow Jackets and the Polar Bears have previously met 37 times with Baldwin-Wallace holding a 25-11-1 series lead. The last meeting was last year when B-W defeated ONU, 20-6, in front of 5,950 homecoming fans in Berea.

Malone (1-3, 1-3) at

Walsh (1-4, 0-4)

When & where: 6 p.m., Canton.

The Game: Last week, Malone beat Tiffin, 33-27. Malone is scoring 17.75 points per game, while opponents are putting up 32.25 ppg. Malik Felton is the top rusher with 44 carries for 222 yards and four TDs.

Last week, Walsh lost to Ohio Dominican, 24-13. Walsh’s top rushers are Toba Olarewaju (104-378 for 367), George Walker (24-126 for 121) and Justin Keith (23-90 for 73). QB Jack Dawson (Sr., 6-2/South Range HS) has completed 35 of 78 for 586 yards with two interceptions.

Walsh coach is Jim Dennison (117-73, 18th yr./197-135-2, 31st yr). Malone is coached by Eric Hehman (8-17, 3rd yr./36-39, 8th yr.).

Thiel (1-4, 1-2 PAC) at Saint Vincent (0-4, 0-2 PAC)

When & where: 1 p.m., Latrobe, Pa., 1 p.m.

Radio: WPIC-AM 790

The game: Thiel lost its fourth game of the season last Saturday, but not before giving undefeated and PAC-leading Waynesburg a major scare, 20-19. QB Andrew Smith and freshman RB Josh Potter had career-best games as Smith completed 23-of-36 passes for 243 yards, while Potter carried 17 times for 57 yards. Also last Saturday, senior DE Tim Taylor, who became Thiel’s all-time leader in tackles for loss (55), needs 1/2-sack to become the college’s career leader in the category. Thiel’s lone win was over Geneva, 21-14 in OT.

St. Vincent, which was idle last weekend, is still looking for its first win of the 2012 season. Last meeting was 2011 when St. Vincent beat Thiel, 36-14.

Marietta (0-4, 0-3) at John Carroll (2-2, 1-2 OAC).

When & where: 2 p.m., Cleveland.

Radio: 850-AM.

Last week, JCU beat Capital, 31-10.

Last week, the Marietta Pioneers lost to No. 23-ranked Heidelberg, 56-24.
