DNC leader, Romney son make Valley stops today

YOUNGSTOWN

Debbie Wasserman- Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chairwoman, and Craig Romney, a son of the Republican presidential nominee, will campaign at separate events today in Mahoning County.

Wasserman-Schultz will be on the campus of Youngstown State University at 10 a.m., while Romney will be at his father’s “Victory Office,” which is the county Republican Party headquarters at 621Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman, at 7 p.m.

Wasserman-Schultz visited the downtown Youngstown campaign office of President Barack Obama on Sept. 15.

This is the first campaign event in the Mahoning Valley for Craig Romney, one of Mitt Romney’s five sons.

Also at 10 a.m. at YSU, voter registration will be conducted in Beeghly Hall, the university’s education building.

The events come two days after the first presidential debate.
