Artists of the Rust Belt will have Artober Market, a festival and market for locally made art, from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., near downtown.
The event will feature works by about 30 regional artists, live music, barbecue and Rust Belt Brewing Co. beer.
Admission is $1 (free if 18 and under). Parking is free. Art will include jewelry, paintings, photography, pottery, sculpture, ceramics, clothing and more. For information, go to artistsoftherustbelt.com.
Running simultaneously with Artober on Saturday will be the Mahoning Riverfest, sponsored by Friends of the Mahoning River.
Riverfest will be outside the B&O Station in the grassy area along the river. It will begin at 9 a.m. with bird-watching.
The band Full Moon Canoe will play on the deck from 9 to 11 a.m. Displays, presentations and demonstrations will be featured from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
