Lawyer: Inmate spared from execution relieved
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Lawyers for a Pennsylvania death row inmate spared from execution today say he is relieved to learn his appeals will continue.
The state Supreme Court has effectively halted the execution of Terrance “Terry” Williams by denying an appeal by prosecutors.
Williams’ death warrant expires at midnight. The court will instead hear appeals of a judge’s finding that prosecutors hid evidence in Williams’ 1986 murder trial.
The 46-year-old Williams remains on death row at a state prison in Greene County, where his lawyers spoke with him by phone after the high court ruling this afternoon.
Lawyer Shawn Nolan says he was never moved to the Centre County prison where he would have been executed by lethal injection.
Williams says both men he killed as a teen had sexually abused him.

How nice to hear the convicted killer, Terry, is "relieved." Did the AP ask Amos Norwood how he felt about Terry's appeals continuing with a stay? Oh, that's right: Mr Norwood can't answer since he is dead -- murdered by Terry.
Where you in bed with Terry Atown ? so you must know he is lying then right. Or maybe you didnt read the whole story.
this is why i dnt believe in the death penalty. should he be put to death for killin 2 ppl that raped him? i might have done the same thing if i were raped. if thats what really happened i dnt think he should be in prison. hes not a danger to the public just ppl who rape him!
