US trucker nabbed with ammo in Mexico is freed
EL PASO, Texas (AP) — A Dallas trucker detained for eight months in Mexico on accusations that he smuggled assault rifle ammunition is expected to return today to the United States.
Jabin Bogan was released from a Mexican prison about two weeks ago but was later detained by immigration authorities. Attorney Carlos Spector tells The Associated Press that a plane carrying Bogan is expected to land in the Mexican border city of Juarez this afternoon. Bogan is scheduled to speak at a press conference in El Paso, Texas, a few hours later.
Bogan was arrested in April with 268,000 rounds of ammunition. He says he took a wrong turn off a highway in El Paso and accidentally crossed into Mexico.
He tried to turn back, but was directed to an inspection area and arrested.

You can't blame the Mexicans for being suspicious . He's lucky the local druglords didn't stop him first. Northern Mexico is a virtual warzone , with weapons & ammo coming from drug sales in the USA . Youngstown druglords are wimps beside the cruel Mexican cartels , who think nothing of collateral damage & have even murdered a Catholic cardinal & a presidential candidate who got in their way.
Speaking of presidential candidates , Mitt Romney's Mexican family branch is involved in fighting the druglords . Mitt's second cousin was held for ranson about 2 years ago . Still Mitt said he wanted to continue the US war on drugs which his mexican family says is at the heart of the violence.
