YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County Commissioner John McNally IV officially filed Monday for the May 2013 Democratic primary for mayor of Youngstown.
McNally has served as a commissioner since November 2004 and before that, he served eight years in the city’s law department, including two years as its director.
In November 2011, McNally told The Vindicator that he would not seek re-election as commissioner and was “strongly considering” running for city mayor in 2013. McNally’s term as commissioner ends Jan. 2.

Best of luck John. I say, anyone who wants to step forward and help Youngstown would have my vote. I know John would make a good Mayor.
