Another way to count the reasons

A Nov. 12 letter listed that writer’s reasons Barack Obama was re-elected.

Here is my list.

1) Women who were so selfish, cared more about free contraceptions, than the freedom and economic future of their children and grandchildren.

2) Unless disabled, any 26 year old who still needs to be on Mommy’s health care plan should be ashamed of him or her self.

3) When it comes to immigration, what is it about “illegal” that leftists don’t get?

4) The American electorate has been dumbed down by a statist and centralized government for the purpose of control, to the point of total ignorance in economics and history.

5) We actually let 18-, 19- and 20-year-olds, who can’t find their own rear ends with both hands and the hands of all their Facebook friends, make the most important decision in America: Voting. How dumb can we be?

6) Obama women who thought that easy and sometimes taxpayer-paid abortions were more important than the future of this country’s Constitutional rights of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Shame on you.

7) President Obama with the total support of the mainstream media, ran the most intellectually dishonest campaign in our lifetimes and probably since Jefferson vs. Adams. Please refer back to No. 4.

8) Romney ran a terrible campaign. Paul Ryan was the wrong vice presidential pick. Throughout the campaign I kept wondering how a man who was successful in every aspect of his life could run such a dysfunctional fight for the job he prepared his whole life for. If I didn’t know better, I would think Romney threw the election on purpose.

9) Obama’s re-election was guaranteed with the ridiculous Supreme Court decision to uphold Obamacare. That decision makes it to my list of top 10 all-time worst, based on the reading of the Constitution.

10) I didn’t vote for Romney. I didn’t vote for Obama. I have always voted Libertarian.

Till 40 years ago we forced these same 18- 19- and 20 yr olds to serve in the military (draft) and give their lives for the country We now let them make that decision for them selves so we should let them make the decision who leads this country. Do you really think that women base their vote, only on those 2 issues????? The Supreme Court make their decision based on their reading of the constitution not yours. Had the decision went the other way you would say they were the best Court in history President Obama won, get over it.

Frank,
You "nailed" the reasons that the uninformed electorate voted for Obama. Too bad we don't have an "intelligence" test to be able to vote.

If we did have an intelligence test to vote, I doubt Frank could pass it. That might be one of most ignorant, uninformed letters ever written to the Vindy--followed closely by anything the above poster writes to the editor.

"...President Obama won. Get over it."

What do you mean by "Get over it?" This is what I think you mean:

1. Hide you head in the sand and ignore the fact that Obama is the worse president in history,

2. Forget about the millions of babies murdered by abortion,

3. Forget about the real "war on women" being waged by the democratic party,

4. Forget that more than any other world leader in recent history, Obama is the incarnation of evil itself.

I'll never get over these things...

@paul ignore the fact that gop house is the worst in history what obout the 10s of millions of babies aborted under bush you act like there were no abortion till 2009 Abortions have been happening for 100s of years. Letting women make their own decission is not a war it,s their right Exactly how is the President any more evil than any other president

theoldwretch,

"Abortions have been happening for 100s of years."

1. 1/2 of the black children in this country are now killed by abortion.

2. Abortions have been illegal most of our history - under Obama's embrace of Planned Parenthood, it has reached immense proportions.

3. Obama voted to deny basic rights to babies born alive to botched abortions - when in the Illinois state legislature.

4. Obama is the first US President to have his administration sued by multiple Catholic Diocese over his insistence that Catholic institutions pay for abortions for employees.

If these things don't make "today's Hitler" the most evil leader in the world, I don't know what would.

@ paul as per the Minnesota Citicens Concern for Life there has been no .increase in the no. of abortion they are about 1.2 mill per year The cath bishops have sued about birth control not abortion only. Abortion is legal since the 60s Whether illegal or not abortion has been available for 100s year If you check his vote in ill it was not for aborted fetus but Previal fetus Now about the blacks there have countless studies which prove you wrong

Where the hell do some of you people get your "facts"??

Half of black children killed by abortion?? You do realize that statement is impossible? I've never laughed so hard at a post on here.

Obama the worst president in history?? Hyperbole much?? Ever hear of Herbert Hoover? Warren Harding? Or George W. Bush for that matter?

Keep it up right wing nut jobs! You're pure comedy gold!!

The arguments made by you "pro-aborts" remind me of the arguments made by the South Slave Power before the Civil War - same dehumanizing progression of thought.

Abortion is our "peculiar institution" of today, just as enslavement of blacks used to be.

Now see, the comedy gold here is in Frank Santolla's number ten.

His letter ought to be sent to late night comedians for reading. NOT EVEN FRANK VOTED FOR ROMNEY.

Frank, you are an idiot who threw your vote away and if Mitt's son could get his hands on you, you would need Obamacare.

Hate to break it to you paul but a story from the Associated Press today says that the number of abortions is down. The latest numbers from 2009 show that abortions were down 5%, the biggest drop in a decade of Bush. Hmm. Who was president In 2009? Wasn't it Obama? Who was it that he replaced? Hmm, wasn't it "W"? So "W" killed more babies than Obama.

My, how facts and the truth must hurt as opposed to the rhetoric and untruths you like to spew.

By being against abortions, the right has assured the demise of the republican party. More abortions=less democrats. Fewer abortions=more babies born to those who have historically been rewarded by democratic give-aways. Very simple basic math. Wake up republicans-forget the moral issues-they no longer matter in the country. Just see what is allowed and glorified these days compared to just 20 yrs ago. Pay the girls to have the abortions-you are going to pay to raise the kid for 25 yrs or life so figure it out. Much more economical to abort now-pay now. Wont really matter- soon the pot will be empty for all of us . Looks like the great melting pot got a little too diluted with takers[taxers] and not enough payers.

GoPens,

Abortions have reached immense proportions. You are only counting surgical abortions, when countless abortions occur through morning after pills, etc.

You are also ignoring abortions promoted in other countries by Planned Parenthood's ever larger footprint in our society.

I never was a fan of George W. Bush, but the fact remains that he was pro-life - while Obama has taken the link between the presidency and "culture of death" forces to unprecedented heights (even higher than pro-abortion president Clinton).
