Authorities identify 24 boys on Ohio locker-room videos

Twenty-four boys have been identified on locker- room videotapes that investigators believe were made by a high-school coach who quit after his arrest this week, a police chief said Friday.

All those identified on the tapes made at Jackson High School were student-athletes, according to Chief Dave Zink of nearby Jackson Township.

“Everything we have to this point we’ve been able to identify,” he said. The chief said investigators have “more information” to examine, but he didn’t specify what.

Zink said there was no evidence of videotaping in the visitor locker room. He declined to specify the period of time when the boys were videotaped because victims and families were still being notified.

Police have charged Scott Studer, 46, on six felony counts of taking nude videos of boys. His attorney said Studer maintains his innocence.

Studer was being held on $2 million bond. If he makes bond, a judge said Studer must stay away from victims, other boys and schools.

The freshman basketball coach was arrested Wednesday after investigators searched his home and found nude images on a DVD, a laptop computer and a flash drive. Studer quit his jobs Wednesday as coach and school-building aide.
