No charges expected for actress, mother

LOS ANGELES

LA County sheriff’s detectives plan to present their findings to prosecutors in two separate investigations involving “Modern Family” actress Ariel Winter, law enforcement sources said.

The sources said they doubted either investigation — one focusing on Winter, the other on her mother — would result in charges.

Winter’s mother claims that her daughter’s 18-year-old boyfriend had unlawful sex with the 14-year-old actress. Winter is claiming her mother, Chrisoula Workman, physically abused her.

So far, detectives have not gathered any specific evidence to substantiate the allegations in either investigation involving Ariel, known to millions as Alex Dunphy, the brainy member of “Modern Family’s” Dunphy family.

Bon Jovi daughter ODs

CLINTON, N.Y.

Jon Bon Jovi’s 19-year-old daughter was hospitalized and facing drug charges Wednesday after overdosing on heroin in a dorm at her college in upstate New York, authorities said.

Stephanie Bongiovi was found unresponsive by an ambulance crew sent to Hamilton College early Wednesday after a report that a female had overdosed in Dunham Hall.

Town of Kirkland police investigator Peter Cania said Bongiovi, of Red Bank, N.J., was recovering at a hospital he did not name.

Officers initially found a small amount of heroin and arrested Ian Grant, 21, also of Red Bank and a Hamilton student, according to police reports.

The new baby joins his brother, 20-month-old Felix, who also was born via surrogate after the 38-year-old star of “The Hunger Games” and producer husband Max Handelman faced infertility issues.
