Eat'n Park hosts Caring for Kids
The annual Caring for Kids campaign is in progress at area Eat’n Park restaurants and runs through Dec. 16 to benefit Akron Children’ Hospital Mahoning Valley.
The events will vary by location. On Tips for Tots nights, 100 percent of all tips earned will benefit the children. During Rodeo Round-Up events, customers will be asked to round up their bill to the nearest dollar. There also will be holiday gift wrapping at Eastwood Mall, raffles, prizes, games and more.
Reservations are not needed.
Dates and times for events are as follows:
Friday: Rodeo Round-Up from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Warren Eat’n Park, 2057 Walmart Drive NE; 330-372-6610.
Sunday: Rodeo Round-Up from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Boardman Eat’n Park, 8051 Market St.; 330-758-1307.
Dec. 5: Tips for Tots, 4 to 8 p.m., Warren Eat’n Park, and 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Austintown Eat’n Park, 5451 Mahoning Ave.; 330-779-0410.
Dec. 8 and 15: Gift wrapping, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Eastwood Mall, Dillard’s concourse.
Now in its 33rd year, Caring for Kids benefits a total of 13 children’s hospitals and has raised more than $8 million.
Akron Children’s Hospital has been caring for children from Youngstown, Warren and surrounding communities for more than 50 years.
It is ranked a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, and is the largest pediatric provider in Northeast Ohio.
The Boardman campus is a 32-bed pediatric hospital offering a 24/7 emergency department, and surgical, radiology, laboratory, rehabilitation and EEG/ECHO/EKG services as well as hematology/oncology clinic and infusion center.
There is also a neonatal special-care nursery, child advocacy, community outreach and education programs and pediatric specialty practices in adolescent medicine, allergy/immunology, cardiology, genetics, nephrology, neurology, orthopedics, rheumatology, physiatry, plastics/reconstructive services, pulmonology and urology.
