A special collection will be taken during the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday at Corner House Christian Church.
All monetary donations will be forwarded to International Disaster Emergency Services sponsored by Christian Churches for assistance in providing food, medical supplies, rebuilding programs and more.

The Youngstown Salvation Army is asking for donations of frozen turkeys for its public Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 21 and frozen turkeys and hams for its public Christmas dinner Dec. 21.
Bring turkeys for Thanksgiving no later than Monday and bring turkeys and hams for Christmas no later than Dec. 14 to the Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave.

Michelle Petrello, training coordinator for the Mahoning County Mental Health Board, is the speaker for the Wednesday meeting of the First Ohio Chapter of The Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health from 7 to 9 p.m. at the D&E Clinic, 142 Javit Court.
Petrello’s topic is “Crisis Intervention Team Training,” a course that teaches law enforcement officers how to safely interact with people who have mental illness.
Task force meeting
An ACTION re-entry task force meeting, in collaboration with Center for Community Empowerment with Pastor Willie Peterson, is planned at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive.
