Brogdon pleads innocent to child endangering, OVI

Published: Tue, November 13, 2012 @ 10:56 p.m.

WARREN

Keith Brogdon, 36, of Third Street Southwest, pleaded innocent Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court to five counts of misdemeanor child endangering and one count of operating a motor vehicle impaired.

A police officer was in the drive through lane at Burger King on Main Avenue Southwest at 10:30 p.m. Friday when a drive-through attendant advised him the person in the car in front of him had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and several children in the car.

The officer followed the vehicle as it made two turns without using turn signals.

During a traffic stop, the officer

noticed the smell of liquor on Brogdon and spotted the passenger trying to conceal a mostly empty bottle of wine. Most of the five children in the back seat were in seat belts. Brogdon failed field-sobriety tests, police said.
