Autopsy slated on inmate found dead in cell
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate in his Lehigh County Prison cell.
Coroner Scott Grim says the 23-year-old man was found unresponsive in the cell and pronounced dead just after 7:32 a.m. Monday.
Grim said an autopsy is scheduled today to determine the cause and manner of death.
His name was not released pending notification of his relatives.
Grim and Director of Corrections Ed Sweeney have declined further comment on the case.
