Maybe ODOT will see to it that the lights on that area of the freeway are turned on soon. It seems like once they repaved that area the lights were turned off.
You can blame ODOT, the city, the lights, but when riding a motorcycle (especially at night) you need to be extra careful.
Hopefully this man is OK.
That was the same area were my neighbor was killed on his motorcycle two years ago. You cant take that turn fast and guarantee he was going fast.Hope the guy is ok. Ride with caution. Speed will kill you.
I saw this accident and it was not the bike going too fast, It is way too dark in the new construction area. People, when the weather is nice PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OUT FOR MOTORCYCLES! We as bikers can only be so careful! WE have a right to drive on the streets as well. Why does everyone always blame the rider?
People need to know what they are talking about before they post comments. SPEED WAS NOT A FACTOR. A car cut in front of him in the construction zone.
So one person says it was way to dark in the construction area and another says a car cut in front of him. From the article I don't see no mention of another car.
READ... accident report was not finished?? what does that mean to you??
If it's dark, you can easily get cut off especially at that onramp with the one lane closed. Even in the light of day morons cut people off! L2S I usually agree with you but I am starting to see you as just a negative person.
Either way maybe the family should be remembered of the victim. It's my understanding the accident left him brain dead. Also my understanding from the family yes there was a car involved. Prayers to all.
